AVIOPROTEC W is a solvent dispersed corrosion preventive compound which forms a thin clear protective coating when applied by brush dip or spray. The coating will dry to a soft film.
Main Characteristics
- Is safe on all metals and paints used on aircrafts.
- Is easily removed with alkaline based aircraft exterior cleaners.
- Is intended for short-term corrosion protection where surfaces to be protected may be frequently recoated and where a clear film is desired. It is intended to give protection of surfaces against corrosion for periods up to one month.
In accordance with the requirements of MIL-C-81309-D. Yipo II Clase 1
It is not injurious in any way to personnel, if reasonable procedures and safety precautions are used. Its flash point is over 42ºC, therefore a good ventilation for the rooms where drying takes place, is recommended. To remove this product from large areas, wipe it off with AVIOSOLVENT D. Alkaline cleaners, steam and emulsion cleaners will also remove this product.
