AVIODEOX 6 is a viscous liquid material used for the removal of oxides and corrosion from aircraft and aluminium surfaces. It removes corrosion products, oxide, light carbon and other light soils. It is safe and non-streaking to aluminium surfaces, when used according to directions.
Main Characteristics
- Safe on all aircraft metals except magnesium and high strenght steel. Safe on well bonded paint. Non-crazing to Plexiglas.
- Non-flammable.
- Ideal for preparing aluminium surfaces for painting.
- Rinses with a water-break free surface.
- Has a minimum effect on aluminium, cadmium, cured zinc chromate primer.
- May be used to remove anodic coating from aluminium surfaces.
Agree with the requirements of MIL-C-38334A, Amend 1, Type 1, Class 1.
AVIODEOX 6 may cause etching of glass windows. To eliminate the possibility of overspray contacting the glass and causing damage, a spray of water flowing over the windows is suggested. A more positive method of protection is to coat the glass with a heavy film of oil or grease.
