AVIODEOX R is a water-thin liquid metal treatment compound which, when applied to rusted metal, chemically changes the rust (iron oxide) into iron phosphate. The surface produced is an inert, hard and grayish surface which will serve as a firm for paint.
Main Characteristics
- No mixing is necessary because AVIODEOX R is furnished in the proper strenght for use.
- On non ferrous metals, aluminium and galvanized iron, AVIODEOX R can also be used. It produces a toothed, slightly porous surface to which paint will grip and cling, forming a tight, lasting bond.
AVIODEOX R converts rust on anything made of ferrous metals. Use it on vehicle parts, railroad cars, stock-piled castings, downspouts, stacks, tanks, buildings, fances, steel window, girders, roofs, plates, pipe fittings,etc.
On Rushed surfaces: Remove loose rust or scale. Apply by brush, dip, spray or swab. Let dry overnight and then paint.
On new metals: Pre-clean by removing excess oils or grease with mineral solvent.
Apply AVIODEOX R by brush, dip, spray or swab. Ley dry overnight and the surface is ready for painting.
