AVIOPROTEC WD is a solvent product which prevents corrosion which forms a fine, clear protective coating when applied with a brush, spraying or dipping. The coating dries, leaving a smooth film.
Main Characteristics
- AVIOPROTEC WD does not attack any of the metals nor paints used on planes.
- Is easily eliminated with alkaline-based exterior plane cleaners.
- AVIOPROTEC WD is a product with little odour and hence its formulation does not contain any aromatic elements, being less toxic than other similar products.
- Its flashpoint is greater than 55ºC, but good ventilation is recommended in those places where drying is carried out.
It is intended as a protection for a short time from corrosion on those surfaces that have to be frequently coated and on which a clear film is desired. It is intended to provide protection from corrosion on surfaces for periods of up to one month.
In accordance with the requirements of MIL-C-16173D, grade 3.
