AVIOSTRIP ADD E is an additive specially developed for adding to aluminium caustic etchant baths in preparation processes prior to chromatisation, anodisation, painting,etc, by immersion or aspersion.
Main Characteristics
- Its great balance ensures a uniform attack on aluminium surfaces, producing an optimum roughness which, in the event of the extrem purity of the metal being treated, affords an optimum securing of subsequent processes without requiring any stripped acid complements, finisher or brighteners.
- It appreciably regulates hydrogen evolution, avoiding the violent diffusion of the gas and reducing the consequences of toxicity and hazardousness owing to the use of conventional caustics.
- AVIOSTRIP ADD E is used at concentrations between 4,5-10% on the concentration of sodium hydroxide used at temperatures of 40-55ºC, both for immersion and aspersion and the treatment time is variable depending on the nature of the alloy and the degree of roughness desired.
- AVIOSTRIP ADD E affords greater uniformity of attack, reducing the evolved hydrogen which remauns occluded in a light coat of foam.
